The Bulgarian family-owned company Fantastico Group presented its first sustainability report, entitled “33 Years of Responsibility for the Future.” The company, which owns Fantastico supermarkets, SkyCity Mall, MegaXtreme Bowling, Joy Station, and MyChoice Catering, has identified a number of key development topics, including:
Product safety and quality;
Customer experience;
Team well-being;
Business integrity;
Environmental responsibility;
Social responsibility.
The most significant investments for 2024 are the chain’s new supermarket in the Levski G district of Sofia, the start of construction of a shopping center in the Orlandovtsi district, and the expansion of the logistics center near Elin Pelin, which will allow the company to develop new markets. The Bulgarian chain’s next major project is the opening of a large supermarket in Plovdiv. At the same time, the company is working on several projects in Sofia, including the presence of its retail outlet in a large retail park.
The total investment in renovations and improvements is BGN 67 million for 2024. The company is investing in its own photovoltaic systems, new-generation refrigeration systems, building management systems, and a new vehicle fleet, all of which will lead to higher energy efficiency and lower carbon emissions. In 2024, the chain will increase renewable energy from its own solar systems by 23%, reaching a production of 1,847,173 kWh, and reduce carbon emissions by 4,459 tons

Thus, the starting salary for a supermarket employee in September is BGN 2,384 gross, and after the second year with the company, employees in more responsible positions in supermarkets will receive BGN 3,544 gross. At the logistics center, salaries start at BGN 2,616 gross and reach BGN 3,608 gross.
